I love surprises so, I chose for the six course menu from the chef and of course they ask what you like or not like. There is only one thing I can say about, it was absolutely delicious!

As you may know I am a wine lover! Red wine or white wine it depends on the food.
This time I chose for white wine and it tasted so good!

This restaurant has style and at the same time a warm company! The young team is enthusiastic and feels very strongly about hospitality. As soon as you step into the restaurant, you will feel right at home.  So quickly taste the dishes, or just come and drink a good glass of wine on the terrace.

So guys, don’t hesitate and book your table as soon as possible to try it yourself!
And forget the try out the delicious crème brûlée!

Why do we choose for the city center?
Rotterdam Noord is booming!

Brasserie Nieuw Noord is a stunning place for a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink!
The food is amazing and interior is absolutely adorable!

It’s a beautiful place to sit on the terrace and enjoy the lovely weather.
I love this spot in Rotterdam Noord!

I truly enjoyed the lunch and my coffee over here.
I love the interior and the people and could work with my laptop.

Last week I had a dinner date with a friend and we were both saying:
”Lets go to Brasserie Nieuw Noord”
We enjoyed our dinner and you know what? Finally we could hear each other..
The music is fantastic even as the volume of it.

And of course… the bar.. I LOVE IT!

LindaStyleDiary loves to have a delicious lunch!

The most of the time you’ll find me in Rotterdam, but don’t forget about the smaller cities!
You can read in one of my previous blogs that I had an amazing high-tea at Hightealicious.
This time I was invited for Coffeelicious.

Coffeelicious is such a lovely company. The amazing locations and the interior are so good that the coffee and cake are even better! The atmosphere is stunning!

They are located in 3 cities in The Netherlands but they have 4 shops. One shop in Breda, one in Rotterdam and two in Dordrecht. I’ve visited the one in Dordrecht. But as you know they have 2 shops there and the most beautiful one is the one which is located in the museum (Museum Huis van Gijn).

Forget about Amsterdam or Rotterdam, if you want to do sightseeing, go to the historical city ‘Dordrecht’.  Of course you will be at the city center where all the shops are but this time you have to visit the area ‘Nieuwe Haven’ You can easily walk to this area from the main city center.

This coffeelicious is truly amazing because it’s located at the Museum ‘Huis van Gijn’ if you are interested in history you need to visit this place! Start first with a lovely cup of coffee and a delicious sandwich! If it’s nice weather (and yes guys, summer is here!!!) you enjoy your coffee and sandwich or something else of course outside in the beautiful garden!

They serve delicious cakes and coffees. Have a look at the menu below and remember, all cakes are homemade!

And of course, LUNCH!

They love ‘simple food, done well’. So do I! They buy their ingredients locally and choose only the very best to make sure they have a delicious menu all through the year. And yes guys, the food is delicious! They make everything ‘a la minute’ which means you will have to wait up to 25 minutes for your lunch when they are very busy but it will absolutely be worth the wait. Some things are just too good to rush.

I ensure you that you will have a lovely day if you visit this part of Dordrecht and have your lunch break at Coffeelicious in Dordrecht and of course the really interesting museum ‘Huis van Gijn’

Don’t forget… there is another Coffeelicious as well in Dordrecht which is located in the city center of Dordrecht. This is just a small shop without that beautiful garden which I explained before.

So there are two Coffeelicious in Dordrecht but I recommend you the one next to Museum ‘Huis van Gijn’

THE HOUSE AT THE NIEWE HAVEN 29 WAS BUILT IN 1729 ON BEHALF OF JOHAN VAN NURENBERG, A RICH REGENT. SIMON VAN GIJN, BUSINESSMAN, LAWYER AND COLLECTOR LIVED HERE FROM 1864 UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 1922. AFTER HIS ASSIGNMENT, HE GAVE THE HOUSE AND MOST OF HIS COLLECTIONS TO THE COLLECTIONS OF THE OLD-DORDRECHT ASSOCIATION AND PUBLISHED THE MUSEUM AS A MUSEUM TO TARGET.

THE CONDITION WAS THAT THE INTERIOR WOULD REMAIN IN TACT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IN 1925 THE HOUSE WAS OPENED TO THE PUBLIC. IN ADDITION TO INTERIORS FROM THE 17TH, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY, THE MUSEUM HAS A COLLECTION OF ARTS AND CRAFTS, A TOY COLLECTION AND A LARGE COLLECTION OF HISTORY PRINTS, THE ATLAS VAN GIJN.

LindaStyleDiary loves Hightealicious

Last Friday (the 12th of May) it was my Mothers birthday!
And as you know, last Sunday (the 14th of May) it was Mothersday!

So time for Linda to organise something for her lovely mother!
A high-tea on Saturday!
A perfect day because it was in between the celebration days!

I chose for Hightealicious as this is a stunning place to have a lovely high-tea!

Hightealicious is a tearoom which you can find in the unique 18th century manor house, also a museum, on the harbour at Wolwevershaven number 9 in Dordrecht. Part owner and chef Joan bakes everything fresh every morning and the aroma of the freshly baked scones, soda bread and pastry welcomes you as you enter. Fresh teas have been especially selected for the guests by their tea sommilier.  Apart from their Traditional High Tea they als have a Celebration High Tea for babyshowers, birthdays and hen parties.

Breathtaking view as you enjoy your tea. Hightealicious is situated where three big and one small river meet at one of the busiest shipping points in Europe. 

I am in love with this tea room! It has a stunning view, the service is absolutely perfect and don’t forget about the food, it’s delicious!

She is the best! My lovely mother with her Indonesian roots! Her love, her support, her lovely food and so much more makes me the happiest kid in the world!

Last Friday, My Jewellery opened their 4^th store in The Netherlands!

The special opening started at 16:00 and I left around 19:00.
I met some great people and all the employees from MyJewellery are so lovely!

They had some nice food and drinks served! Lots of Sushi and I started to fall in love with a drink what I never tried before!

LindaStyleDiary loves Cornelis

You’ll be thinking, who is Cornelis?

Cornelis Bar & Kitchen is  a wine-bar and  grill-room, where you can  have lovely dinners and  fantastic parties!

As you have read previously, I celebrated  my Birthday there!

I made a reservation for approx. 30 people and they had a nice spot reserved for me at the bar. The service was extremely good! As the wine bottles were empty, there was already a new bottle! The friends who didn’t drink wine they could order their drinks at the bar! Very easy going and as I told me before, the service was good. They often asked  me if everything  was alright.

OH YEAH, IT WAS! 

Every month they organise a party. So last Friday I was there with my lovely friend @urbanfitgirls! Talking, dancing, had some wine and cocktails!
It was a fantastic night!

Lindastylediary loves SUSHI

I AM IN LOVE WITH SUSHI!

I can eat this delicious food every day without getting bored of it.
Nowadays you have a lot of sushi restaurants and a lot of ‘All you can eat’ concepts.

But there is a difference between sushi and good sushi.
The ‘All you can eat’ sushi is great but please keep in mind that it’s just a factory.
Sumo, Shabu Shabu and SushiPoint is just perfect for sushi at home or ‘All you can eat’  but if you really want to have good sushi please make sure that you go to a good restaurant of a good Japanese restaurant.

What I recommend is ‘The Harbour Club’, ‘Ono Japanese Dining’ or ‘Aqua Asia Club’ in Rotterdam.
And for ordering sushi at home? SushiPoint!

The best sushi I’ve ever eaten was at OKKU in Dubai. A very exclusive restaurant which is also quite expensive but yes, usually good sushi is quite expensive.

Yes, you can wake me up in the middle of the night for sushi!

Lindastylediary at Barista Café Rotterdam

Good morning all!

Today I decided to work from the Barista Café in Rotterdam. You’ll find this spot at the Wilhelminasquare. It’s just a 5 minutes’ walk for me to get here.

This is a perfect place for having breakfast in the morning, lunch or just to drink a coffee. The opening hours are just perfect as this place is already open from 07:00 AM. I mean, I will not be there at 07:00 AM of course, as I am not really a morning person but sometimes I have to wake up early to avoid traffic jam on the highway. Then I will take a coffee to go and get in my car. A one-way drive to my office is about 100 km, so imagine, I need to have my coffee in my FIAT500.

But today it’s not the case, I am working from home so I have the time to have a lovely breakfast, coffee and fresh orange juice.
